Dr. Jones earned a Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California in 2011. His thesis work at the Laboratory of Applied Pharmacokinetics and Bioinformatics produced a mathematical model for the prediction of bisphosphonate toxicity to healing.  He is well versed in the pharmacologic mechanism of these drugs as related to treatments for osteoporosis and metastatic cancer affecting the skeleton.

If you are taking or have taken drugs named zolendronte (Zometa and Reclast), pamidronate (Aredia), alendronate (Fosamax), ibandronate (Boniva), risedronate (Actonel), you are at risk for severe jaw problems caused by dental treatment.
